Girls, it’s time to throw them jackets away and flaunt them crop tops and distressed skirts! If you’re jumping along with me to welcome summer, this blog post is for you!

I’m starting this post off by admitting that I'm not a Fashion Guru! Consider this post to be a casual chat around what to wear this summer.

So summer is right around the corner, aaand guess who’s jumping with joy! ;)    (I know it still isn’t summer quite yet, but we are getting there, one sunny day at a time!)

Summer for me, is pretty much synonymous to Casuals! And here’s my go-to casual pair, this season!

The versatile black crop top:

One thing you can’t miss having in your summer wardrobe is the quintessential black crop top! You could pair this up with just about anything, ANYTHING! This summer you could team the black crop top with comfy pants (like in the picture) - high waist ruffle pants, wide bottom pants, palazzos, distressed jeans (my go-to)/shorts/skirts. And this simple piece of cloth could easily work magically for your dressy attire towards the evening too (food for a different post ;)). I bought this crop top online from Shein. I typically go a size up in crop tops, you could pick what works best for you).

Girls who are not size-zero, please don’t think crop tops are not for you! I’m not a size zero and I wear it anyway. Give it a try, if you’ve been wanting to. If you still want to be comfortable, try pairing them with high waist pants. It will work wonders and you won’t regret!

Ruffle high waist pants:

Any loose clothing on summer days is a bliss! And these ruffle pants are just the perfect summer bottoms! I bought them online from Shein and I fell in love with them the moment I put them on! I could wear them to work, I could cook in them, I could sleep in them, they’re that good! They’re not your regular chinos, neither are they palazzos, they are a happy medium between the two, they are chizzos (haha, hmmm, may be I should avoid cracking lame jokes here). Okay, so yesss! Get them and pair them with any casual top - solid, stripes, printed, will go with pretty much everything! If I were you and plan to wear this with a longer top, I would consider squeezing the top in and not leave it loose.

Complete your summer casual look with your favorite sneakers, sunnies and girl, you’re good to go!
